Inverted Zeiss LSM 700 Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope

This Zeiss LSM 700 confocal system uses a Zeiss AXIO Observer inverted microscope stand with transmitted light illumination, a light source for fluorescence excitationing HXP 120 and laser illumination sources. It can collect transmitted light images and confocal fluorescence images. It is a basic confocal microscope, useful for standard imaging techniques.

Applications:

  • Co-localization of multiple proteins and multicolor imaging of fixed samples.

  • Time-lapse recording for following cellular events in live samples

  • Definite focus, focus stabilizer

  • Spectral imaging, unmixing, excitation fingerprinting

  • FRET and FRAP

  • Z-series

  • Parallel time-lapse imaging at multiple positions
